I read a book "The Play". It was a story that children played the Wizard of Oz. I liked the punch line the best. Chip said "It's like a play," (Roderick Hunt, 1986, p.24) and it ended. It is a storm. In a word, a storm like the play. It was stormy day whenever children played, so Chip said so. It was a story time, and a teacher told The Wizard of Oz to children. Children first knew the story. After finishing the time, there was a storm. Children couldn't play outside, so they played The Wizard of Oz simply inside. The teacher liked the play and she decided to play The Wizard of Oz in earnest. The play was wonderful, but it was a stormy day when they tried to go home after finishing the play. I also felt that a storm like the play.
I also like the illustration of this book. The illustration is simple and even I can illustrate them. But they are very cute, I can never illustrate them. This book is one of Oxford Reading Tree. I like this series. As there are many this series, I want to read much more this series.
