Essay2-02a:My learning Languages

I have ever learned 3 languages from pre- school to University. They are Japanese, English and French. There were many trouble and efforts through learning. I liked to learning until I was a junior high school student. Now, I tell you about these languages learning experience. I'm glad to give your comment after you read this.


First, I tell you in my pre-school days. I looked at a lot of things anyway. Toys, foods, stuffed animals...too much things! I took and looked at what I was interested in a long time one after another. And I asked pre- school nurse what it is. Pre-school nurse always answered what it is and how it uses kindly. I learned them more and more. In pre-school, there was nothing I could but learn what I was interested in.

Second, I tell you in my elementary school days. Learning became full-dress in elementary school. I learned hiragana, katakana and very simple kanji when I was a lower grades student of elementary school. I wrote my name in hiragana many times first. Then I practiced to write the other hiragana. After learning hiragana, I learned katakana as I learned hiragana. I kept writing hiragana and katakana on note again and again. I mastered hiragana and katakana and I started to learn very simple kanji next. I learned a lot of simple kanji which means big, river, dog and so on in English. I saw kanji first then, so I enjoyed learning kanji.

Third, I tell you in my junior high school days. Learning became more difficult in junior high school. I learned idioms, difficult kanji and archaisms in Japanese class. Idiom forms meaning by combining some kanji. I studied how to read and meaning of idiom. I liked to study idioms, so I always got perfect score on the test. As I was glad for it I studied harder. I also studied difficult kanji. Kanji learning in junior high school was a quite different from kanji learning in elementary school. The order to write kanji became complicated. But I still liked kanji very much at this point. Therefore, I studied harder and got perfect score on kanji test, too. I started to learn archaism. I learned basic archaism in junior high school, so I could keep up learning archaism. Also, as studying archaism was first time for me I was interested in it. I started to study English. Before I study English I was worried that I can memorize English words, pronounce English propery and so on. But my anxiety changed quickly. I very much enjoyed studying English. I really liked English. I learned basis words, vocabulary, sentences, pronunciation and listening. I could study English without pain because I liked English. I always got good score.

Fourth, I tell you in high school days. Learning became very difficult for me from high school. Text became only books that is used very difficult expression. Since this point it was trouble for me to learn. Everything was difficult for me in Japanese class. Idioms, kanji, archaisms...everything! Even if I studied harder I couldn't get good score on Japanese test. I came to hate Japanese. Studying English was as difficult as Japanese, but I didn't come to hate English except for listening. I was poor at listening then. I usually got good score on English test, but I couldn't get good score on listening test. As I had liked English I proceeded way of English in University.

Fifth, I tell you about learning in University. I hardly have Japanese learning, but I studied Japanese sentence expression. I practiced to write paper in the class. I didn't like the class because I'm not good at writing sentence. I did my best. I got the credit possibly. I am taking writing, reading, listening, speaking and grammar concerned English. They make me fun and worried. I am very busy because I have what to do a lot, but I study hard now.


I thought that I had enjoyed studying at that time. As I was glad to get good score I studied harder and I got good score again. That time was the repetition. I don't enjoy studying now. I want to remember feeling of that time again. I thought that I try to do my best more by writing this essay.

BR 2-05: There Was A Crooked Man

I read a book "There Was A Crooked Man". This book is not magic key series and authors are different. This book is in the Usborne first Reading series. This book is story about a crooked man. This book was cute book. Both the story and the illustration were pretty. I thought that the crooked mother cat was kind and she is mother after all. This book was interesting for me.

My best impressive scene is mother cat gave her kittens fish. It made me kind feeling. I thought that mothers regarded children best both human and animal. When I become a mother I'm sure to regard my children best.

Also, this book has 3 puzzles as free gift. It was interesting, too. This book is made to please for children. Though I am university student, I enjoyed it!

I learned French a little when I was first grade university student. It was very difficult for me. French was different from Japanese and English. Composition and pronunciation were a quite different. Of course, words and vocabulary were, too. As I didn’t understand French I had many trouble first.

I read a book "New Trainers". This book is not magic key series, but authors were same. This book is short story comparatively, so it was easy for me to read this book. Though this book was short, it was interesting.

After I finished reading this book I thought that I have to have responsibility and say everything, because main character was told to take care of shoes from his father. But as soon as saying so, his father got dirty his shoes. However I said anything, my words doesn't carry conviction if I can't do what I said. So I have to have own responsibility. I could learn good thing.

My favorite class is Listening because we can watch video in the class. As the video is interesting for me I can enjoy the class. In this class, teacher plays a tape every time. We hear content of the tape and fill some blank about the tape. We are separated some group. We can cooperate with own group, so someone of group helps me if I can't hear some blank. After we finished hearing tape teacher shows us video. We also hear content of the video and fill some blanks, solve some problems about video. I like the video and I gaze the video. So, I miss hearing. But teacher plays the video three times. It is difficult for me to hear native English, but I do my best.

I read a book "The Dragon Tree" which is magic key series. This was story that the magic key took children to dragon adventure. This book was interesting. I thought that children are brave because they approached dragon. Dragon was much bigger than children. I will not be able to approach dragon without fail as I am frightened. I am happy because children were safe.

My favorite scene of this book was children go to help Floppy. Floppy ran away out of deep and dark forest at his discretion, but children went to help him. Of course, as children take care of Floppy, it was natural. But I saw it another time, my heart got warm. Because I have a dog, too, I will go to help absolutely. I could identify myself with it.

BR 2-02: Swap!

I read a book "Swap!" today. Characters of this book are Nadim, his father, Chip, Biff and Wilma. This was a story that Nadim's broken bat changed better things. I thought that this book was similar to "warashibe choja". A straw ended up a big estate in warashibe choja, too. I also thought that Nadim was a kind boy because he was always willing to swap his for broken thing. After I read this book I decided to try to hold various things dear. If I hold them dear, they can keep using for a long time. I think that it was good to read this book.

Also, I thought that Nadim's friends could say it well to swap Nadim's things for their broken things. I felt they were impudent. In spite if it, Nadim was willing to swap. He has a big heart. I want to be a person such him.

October 10th

I went to tap “Muraichiban” on October 10th to congratulate my older brother’s birthday. My older brother’s birthday is October 4th, but the day is weekday and my older brother went to work, so I planned his birthday party on October 10th. The birthday party started at 6:30 p.m. We could eat and drink anything only for 120 minutes. We ate a lot of dishes. For example, fried chicken, tofu salad, kimchi nabe, green soybeans, yakisoba and so many other dishes. Their dishes were very good. We also drank alcoholic drink except for my older sister. The reason why my older sister did not drink was she was a handle keeper that day. We ate so many dishes anyway. It seemed that the clerk was very busy. We took many pictures. My older brother seemed to be fun. I was very fun, too. I had a very good time. After the party I went to karaoke with my older brother and sister. We sang J-pop songs and animation songs only for 1 hour. It was first time to go to karaoke with my brother. But it was very good time. My brother said to me “ You are good singer.” I was very happy. I want to go to karaoke with them again.

My junior-high school memory is club activity. I had been belonging to basket ball club from 4th grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of junior-high school. I practiced every day. It was very hard practice, so I thought again and again that I want to give up. But I did not give up because all of teammate practiced very hard, too. We became strong basket ball team for our efforts. Our team became top in the city competition many times. Also, our team usually finished second in the prefecture competition. I was not regular member, but I was happy that I did my best with them. I could not play game so many times, so I cheered for them hard. Though practice of basket club was very hard it became my important memory.

My favorite flower is tulip because it is very pretty flower and it is flower which blooms in spring. I was born in spring, so I like various vernal things. There are a lot of flowers which bloom in spring but I like tulip the best. It is very cute and I like its smell, too. Also, tulip have various colored tulip. For example, red tulip, yellow tulip, white tulip and so many other tulip. Their flower field is very beautiful and colorful because there are many colors. Talking of tulip field, I think that it is Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki. There is tulip garden in Huis Ten Bpsch, but it has season limitation. I have never been there, so I want to go there someday.

My favorite high school memory is, of course, high school trip. I went to Kokufu high school. When I was a second grade student I went to Hokkaido on November. I went on a three day trip to Hokkaido. No sooner had we arrived there than we had free time. So we went shopping and went around various places. There are a lot of famous sweets store. We went to most of these stores, Rokkatei, LeTAO and Kitakaro. We bought a lot of souvenir. For example, Baumkuchen, Okaki, cheese cake and so on. I bought many other things, too. Also we enjoyed skiing. I had never skied until then, so I was worried about it. But our instructor was very kind and a very good skier, so I relieved. I slopped many times at first, but I became a good skier while I skied a long time. I like skiing. As I had a very good time there I want to go to Hokkaido again.

For example, ducks, carps and turtle. Many birds also come to the river. When I was a little, I used to play in the garden and the river with my older brother. We found a lot of insects. It was very interesting like an adventure. Also, we have own tree individually. In this connection, my tree is camellia. It fruits beautiful flowers. My father's tree is little pine tree. My mother's tree is persimmon tree. My older brother's tree is loquat tree. My older sister's tree is golden osmanthus fragrans tree. I don’t know when these trees plant clearly. But trees of my father and my mother were planted when we started to live at our present house. Trees of children were planted when each of us became kindergartner. So my tree is the youngest of all trees. I think that it is good to have own tree individually, so When I have my family someday I want to do same thing.

Third, it is my room. There is my room on second floor. The reason why I like is because there are many things which I treasure. For example, comics, personal computer and my favorite singer's goods. I love reading comic. When I am free I usually read comics, use my personal computer and listen to my favorite singer's songs in my room. I'm mended when I spend time doing these. I also like own time, so I go to my room when I want to be alone. I can feel the most relaxed and the most comfortable.

I read a book "Castle Adventure". This book is also magic key series. This book was also about adventure. This time, 3 children and their aunt were took to Castle Adventure by the magic key. I thought grandmother was very powerful to read this book, because she paid 3 wicths back almost on her own. I have a grandmother, too. She is also powerful. She has still worked though she is already 80 years old near. I respect for her and I like her, so I want to see her.

My favorite scene in this book is aunt hurled a witch away. I felt refreshed when I read it. Because 3 witches are playing a trick, it was natural for them to be done so. This book was so interesting!
