Canoe Trip

I went to canoe trip yesterday. We got together at Bethel University entrance in the morning. We went to St. Croix River by school bus. After we arrived there, we had only own lunch and we wore life jacket. My group member was Hitomi’s host father, Hitomi, Sakura and me. Hitomi’s host father is a good canoe driver, so I was relieved. At last, we rode canoe. Hitomi’s host father got on back and Hitomi got on front. Hitomi paddled for a while, but she was tired so I turned to paddle. At middle point, we got off on very small spot. We swam there and we had lunch. My host mother made my lunch. It was sandwich, chips, apple and cookie. It was very good! After lunch, we also went to paddle. Next Sakura paddled, but she was tired, too. Hitomi turned to paddle. After a while, I also turned to paddle and I paddled to last. After canoe trip we went to picnic at park. We had dinner there. Then we played skit. My skit member was Hitomi, Hiromi, Yaman, Sakura and me. We played skit that American child come to Japan for homestay program. I was nervous but I did my best! Then I came back home with my host family. I had a very good time ywsterday.

in Minnesota

Today, I write about what I did simply after July 26^th. I always go to Bethel University on weekdays and we take classes. We usually go out afternoon. On July 29^th, we went to a picnic. We had KFC and we swam at Lake Johanna. On July 30^th, we went to Minnesota History Center. After we arrived we had lunch and we looked around Minnesota History Center. On August 2^nd, we visited Golden Living Community to present Japanese culture. We did origami. On August 3^rd, we went to Old Country Buffet to have lunch. After that, we went to Minnesota State Capital and St. Paul Cathedral. We will do Canoe trip tomorrow. Except for these days, we took various classes. For example, American Education, An American in Japan, Bullying in America, Wedding in America, U.S. Law Enforcement and so on. All classes were beneficial classes for me. I had a very good time here! I’m looking forward to doing canoe tomorrow!

About homestay program

I am in Minnesota, America now, because of homestay program. I left Japan on 25^th July. Minnesota is a nice state! I like it. I arrived at Minnesota at 1 p.m. As soon as I arrived here, my host family was welcome me. I was glad of it! They took me their house by car. Their house is very beautiful and nice! I was impressed. They explained about their house. They prepared my room. It was big room. We felt at home until 5 p.m. We left home because of picnic. We went to park and ate dinner with everybody. After picnic, we came back home. On the second day, I went to Bethel university. It was also beautiful and wonderful university. In the morning, I took some class. Then we ate lunch at university. I ate tacos. Yummy! In afternoon, we went on a cruise to Mississippi River. The view was very beautiful. I took picture of many views. I came home at 4:30 p.m. Then I took two dogs for a walk with my host mother. They have 2 dogs. The one dog’s name is Kiki and the other is Shadow. They are very cute! I love them. After taking a walk, we had dinner. It was delicious.
